MIAT Mongolian airline signs sharecode agreement with JAL

Mongolian Airlines MIAT has signed a codeshare agreement with Japan Airlines (JAL) to expand both carrier’s international networks between the two countries.

According to Japan Airlines, reservations and sales of tickets will begin in March.

The agreement will allow Japan Airlines to offer flights between Ulaanbaatar and two major cities in Japan, Tokyo-Narita, and Osaka-Kansai.

At the same time, MIAT will start offering flights beyond Narita to Osaka Itami and Nagoya Chubu, in addition to five international destinations, namely Singapore, Melbourne, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Busan. Operations of codeshare flights are subject to regulatory approvals.
